Fun in Indiana!

Bryce and I are spending time with my family in good old Evansville. While Brian is having great fun at Ft. Dix for the month. He was a good husband and drove the 6.5 hrs here with us and flew out of here and will fly back into here so we can drive home together.
Bryce update....He is coming up on 11 months! WOW, I can't believe that this time last year we weren't even in the USA. Brian flew back into Okinawa for the 4th of July....and I was still very pregnant.
Bryce keeps me very busy. He is still a crawling machine. He prefers to army crawl, using his toes to push. Across the tile and wood floors he flies and enjoys spinning around on his belly. We need to work on his eating manners....he grunts until food is replaced on his tray.....he never pushes food away and tells you he is done....and I haven't found anything he won't eat. He has a special noise I will call it when he sees my Mom's dog. Loves to swim, take toys from his cousins, and he is now pulling himself up onto anything he can.

I really can stand, but Addison's toes are way more fun..

Bryce was less than thrilled when his cousin took him down the tunnel slide at Grandma's.

Playing at the park!

This is my cousin Avery...I think she wants my attention.

We went to the zoo, but Aunt Katie, Mommy and I were the only ones that checked out the snake!

Uncle Ryan helped me with my 1st sparkler.

These are my Uncles!

Daddy got to spend the weekend with us before he left.

Lots of Traveling!

We have been busy traveling the last 3.5 weeks and are happy to be back home. I will be posting a lot of pictures to tell of our travels. I did forget to post last month at Bryce's 9 month check up all is well and he is or was 22lbs 4 oz and I am sure that since he is 10 months old today that he has grown. He is a crawling machine and loves to follow us around. Now we get the fun part of trying to baby proof our house, current project a very large baby gate for the top of the stairs....
Bryce and I left on the 20th of May for Pittsburgh and our first alone flight...he was a champ and ALL luggage showed up :) Brian followed in a T38 the next day for a long weekend with family. He continued on to Vegas, so hard I know, and we stayed in Pitt to hang with his family. Then Bryce and I flew home for 2 days and left for Colorado on a 6:00am flight...all went very smooth and we met Brian in Denver before flying up to the cabin. There we spent a week in beautiful Lake City CO, cool temp, fires every night, and great time with Great Grandparents.

That about sums it up and these are in the wrong order, but oh well!

Helping Mommy drive over the pass.

Cold and lots of snow, Bryce was asleep for this part.

Checking out the Durango Silverton Train

This was the pass on the way over in the morning.

The passes hadn't been opened long and one of the snow drifts was around 25 ft high..

First Beach Trip

So two weekends ago we drove down to good old Fort Walton Beach and introduced Bryce to the sand and sun. We stayed in a great two bedroom condo with the Stevens Family and it was super kid friendly. The pools were all great and included a lazy river. Bryce is almost 9 months old and seems to come up with new tricks daily. Currently he is a speedy rolling machine, chatter box, sleeping from 8:30-8:30 (oh how wonderful after the first month of teething and not sleeping) has 6 teeth, and eats anything I put in front of him and still nurses like a champ, his big belly and chunky legs are proof the boys can
eat.

What is this stuff stuck to my fingers? He didn't eat too much and kept it out of his eyes thanks to his fancy sunglasses. (Thanks Korsmos!)

Beach Buddies!

Floating around the lazy river!

We tried to take some family pictures....it was a little windy if you can't tell from my beautiful hair!

Happy Spring and Colorado Adventures

Well it seems that I can really only get to this on a monthly basis...I guess it is better than nothing. I also want to apologize to those that have written to us about the last post and Brian's deployment. We appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers.
Lets see a couple of weeks ago we went to Colorado for our second big family trip. Bryce did great on the plane trip and the amount of luggage was crazy...3 large bags and a huge snowboard bag with both our boards....we should have gotten a picture of that. We spent a few days in the Springs with friends before we headed up to the condo to ski. Bryce also got to go swimming with Daddy for the first time. Which proved to be big fun....we look forward to the summer!
Lets see the skiing was incredible and very unlike spring skiing. It snowed almost every day and our last day we had 13 inches of fresh powder in the back bowls of Vail! Brian and I traded off skiing and our wonderful friend Stephanie watched Bryce several times....and they left their kids at home. THANKS STEPH :) Bryce stayed back at the condo and enjoyed playing with Trevor....he is two and a real cutie.

On the down side Bryce didn't sleep at all, screamed every 45 min or so at night, got his first tooth, and slept with Mom and Dad so we could all get some sleep and there he would sleep until around 8:30.
The tri p back was smooth. We stayed the night in Birmingham bc we got in late....played at the pool and went shopping the next day....oh did I mention that when we got in at 8:30pm they didn't have all of our luggage.....NO CAR SEAT and the other bag was our ski stuff so we weren't in need of it in the 65 degree weather. The airline gave us a car seat to borrow so we could get moving and the next day our things showed up.

Bryce is getting more animated daily, chatters up a storm, eats anything I put in front of him, rolls everywhere, we just love him. Okay now I will get to the pictures.....

We took Bryce out in Keystone one afternoon

Thanks Wyatt for letting me borrow your snow suit!
