First Beach Trip
So two weekends ago we drove down to good old Fort Walton Beach and introduced Bryce to the sand and sun. We stayed in a great two bedroom condo with the Stevens Family and it was super kid friendly. The pools were all great and included a lazy river. Bryce is almost 9 months old and seems to come up with new tricks daily. Currently he is a speedy rolling machine, chatter box, sleeping from 8:30-8:30 (oh how wonderful after the first month of teething and not sleeping) has 6 teeth, and eats anything I put in front of him and still nurses like a champ, his big belly and chunky legs are proof the boys can
eat.
What is this stuff stuck to my fingers? He didn't eat too much and kept it out of his eyes thanks to his fancy sunglasses. (Thanks Korsmos!)

Happy Spring and Colorado Adventures
Well it seems that I can really only get to this on a monthly basis...I guess it is better than nothing. I also want to apologize to those that have written to us about the last post and Brian's deployment. We appreciate all of your well wishes and prayers.
Lets see a couple of weeks ago we went to Colorado for our second big family trip. Bryce did great on the plane trip and the amount of luggage was crazy...3 large bags and a huge snowboard bag with both our boards....we should have gotten a picture of that. We spent a few days in the Springs with friends before we headed up to the condo to ski. Bryce also got to go swimming with Daddy for the first time. Which proved to be big fun....we look forward to the summer!
Lets see the skiing was incredible and very unlike spring skiing. It snowed almost every day and our last day we had 13 inches of fresh powder in the back bowls of Vail! Brian and I traded off skiing and our wonderful friend Stephanie watched Bryce several times....and they left their kids at home. THANKS STEPH :) Bryce stayed back at the condo and enjoyed playing with Trevor....he is two and a real cutie.
On the down side Bryce didn't sleep at all, screamed every 45 min or so at night, got his first tooth, and slept with Mom and Dad so we could all get some sleep and there he would sleep until around 8:30.
The tri p back was smooth. We stayed the night in Birmingham bc we got in late....played at the pool and went shopping the next day....oh did I mention that when we got in at 8:30pm they didn't have all of our luggage.....NO CAR SEAT and the other bag was our ski stuff so we weren't in need of it in the 65 degree weather. The airline gave us a car seat to borrow so we could get moving and the next day our things showed up.
Bryce is getting more animated daily, chatters up a storm, eats anything I put in front of him, rolls everywhere, we just love him. Okay now I will get to the pictures.....

Where does the time go?
Well lets see a month has already gone by....We had a great time in Evansville and Brian got to come and see us on two weekends. He was able to take a cross country up to EVV for a weekend. Then he got to stay a day longer bc the jet broke and stayed broke for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately they sent another jet to pick him up on Monday...He just went back this week and picked it up and had lunch with my family. He was also able to Fly into EVV returning from a TDY just so he could drive the long drive back with us to MS. What a good husband.
Bryce is just so much fun! He decided to have a horrible month of sleeping at night and who knows why.....we think it had something to do with starting food.....but for whatever reason he was a SCREAMING mess from 11:30-5:00am...that was super fun...and so far things have been better this month. He is currently very proud of himself as he is rolling back and forth again and again!
On a sad note we found out that Brian will be going for a nonvol 365 starting in Nov...so we are busy trying to plan a very busy schedule of visiting family, friends, and some down time in MS. Also very busy trying to do as much as we can as a family before he leaves...So please keep us in your prayers and take a detour our way if you are ever close.

These are just some more pictures and playing with photo software...

Jan -Feb Recap
So Bryce is growing like a weed and will be 6 months old tomorrow. He is such a joy and warms our hearts daily! He is weighing in at 18.5 lbs and we just started cereal last week. Some people thought I was crazy to wait till almost 6 months but he took to it like a champ and clearly he was growing just fine before....He has the cutest giggle and squeals with delight often. He is still a drool machine and loves his jump-a-roo. We are in Evansville right now visiting family and I will post more pictures soon. Last week my grandparents and Mom came down to good old MS for a visit. Mom stayed a few extra days and we drove to Evansville on Friday. We will be staying for about a week and I will be doing the drive home alone. But Bryce doesn't mind the car seat anymore and only had a few break downs on the 7hr drive.

Holiday Recap
This was my outfit for my baptism.
I didn't even scream when I was baptised.
We had a wonderful first Christmas with Bryce. We spent Christmas Eve here in MS and flew out on Christmas morning to Pitt. Bryce did a great job with all of the traveling, which we were very thankful for. We get to Pitt in time for Christmas dinner with the family. The first thing most people would want to do is freshen up a little....well that would mean we have our luggage....and North West not only can't find it they have no idea where it might have gone. GREAT! Long story short they claim to find it and it will be delivered around 11:00pm on Christmas night...yeah right. Not to mention we are almost out of diapers and our carry on was full of breakable Christmas gifts nothing useful for us :) We get up early to drive to State College (3hr drive) the next day to see the rest of Brian's family...still no luggage. So we wash our clothes early in the am and put them back on again for day two. Bryce was cold that night, wouldn't keep a blanket on & Mommy put is swaddler in the luggage. So he ended up sleeping with us :)
Made several phone calls to Northwest and they were so overwhelmed the system would hang up on us all day and when we looked our luggage up on line..they still couldn't find it. :)
We still had a wonderful time and were said to say good bye to everyone. We got back to Pitt after midnight and still no luggage. So Saturday morning we finally go shopping. Bryce was being baptised at mass that night and Mommy and Daddy needed some clothes. Not that shopping isn't fun but when you have to go and find everything from underwear to shoes and everything is so picked over bc of Christmas and you would rather be spending time with family it is frustrating. We return and our luggage had just arrived 5 min before we did. FIGURES!!!!
The baptism was great as was the rest of the week. Bryce's cousins all girls on this side of the family just couldn't get enough of him. It is really the first baby they remember being around and they were way more interested in my nursing him and they being able to do it when they get to be mommies and why can't it just come out like Chocolate Milk he would like that way better according to Kamryn. :)
Trip home cell phone rings 10 min after leaving the house....your flight has been changed to 20 min later. Not a big deal but our connection was close so Brian calls to check as we are driving. Agent tells us oh BTW you have been re booked for tomorrow at 8:00am...WHAT so after sitting in a parking lot for 30 min instead of driving and talking to an agent that didn't speak English very well...seriously I thought we moved back to the US :) Brian hung up and talked to someone else...no we still have you on the flight just 20 min later...well now we aren't going to be able to make it to the airport in time. GREAT, but we do. Some how it all worked out with some extra pain and suffering....some how the Delta agent who told us we were booked the next day and the Northwest agent never talked....my cell phone rang about 4 times around 4:00am. Brian told me to answer it bc it was New Years Eve and maybe someone really needed us.....YEAH it was the Delta automated system telling us that our 8:00am flight was delayed.....really :) Hope you could follow all the craziness :)
We are home and enjoying a New Year...I will stop rambling and post some pictures...bc I know that is all people want to see anyway.
