WOW 18 mths

Well my little man, where has the time gone? You are turning into a toddler right before our eyes and we can't even believe it. You are a strong willed, determined, little boy and we love you more every day. You have a language all of your own and every once in awhile we think we can make sense of it. The words you use most often are Daddy, yeah, no,no,no(with a finger wave)Bye Bye, vroom for anything that goes; and lots of others that happen every now and then. You have a lot of signs that you use daily(Please, eat, all done, thank you, milk, water, help, sorry, change(yes you tell us a lot of times when your diaper is dirty), apple, cookie, washing hands,) point with the best of them, and will take our hand to show us exactly what you are needing. You also can point to a number of body parts (head, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, teeth, tongue, ears, fingers, hand, foot, toes, belly and your elbow so far.)
In mid January you started to go to one nap a day and finally got over the nightly wakings, screaming, crying fits....wooo that was rough...You nap from 2-3 hrs a day and sleep a good 12 hrs at night. In your crib you use a pillow, soft blanket, and snuggle your Lion and froggy and are actually holding on to them when we check on you. You weigh in at a hefty 28lbs 4 oz and crack us up when you show us your muscles and that you enjoy doing pull ups on the pull up bar.
The weather for good old MS has been rather cold, keeping us inside...not his favorite place. Thankfully we have good friends that live down the street for many weekly play dates. He goes right to the garage door after Kyndee and I talk bc he is ready to go to Brody's house. If I tell him he is coming here, he runs to the front door and points to the curtain to be moved so he can watch patiently for his little friend. He loves to get into the fridge or climb into the fridge and run away with whatever he can get his hands on. Today it was grape tomatoes and when I get close he throws the container, which we all know isn't going to stay together so all over the family room floor they go. If he gets hurt and we didn't see what happened. He will take our hand show us where he is hurt and then show us what created the pain. Loves to help me clean the house and often goes around with a damp rag and helps clean....like the kitchen floor between milk and the 4 times a day he is eating he sees Momma cleaning that up a lot!
For some reason you think that whenever you are in the bathroom the toilet needs to be flushed, climbing on your rocking chair to turn on your light is a daily must, treasures are often found in the trash can that shouldn't be there, or throwing things into the shower that shouldn't get wet, a laptop open means it must be slammed shut and fast, a gate at the stairs means I should climb up the outside of the stair case, floor pillows help me climb onto the coffee table and couch, I don't need any help to climb on the fire place or open the fire place doors though. The word NO sir doesn't really phase you, instead you smile with your eyes closed and make a silly face. Your booster seat is used for time out on occasion and you do sit quietly....
Most important you make us smile every day even at 2:30am this morning when something woke you up that had to do with your window and a very poutty lip, but not sure what happened. After an hour or more of rocking and asking please you came to bed with us! To wake up WAYYYY to early by a cheek to cheek and a tweak of our nose...then you tried to climb onto daddy's head before I grabbed you and we had an early breakfast. Happy 18 months to our little Dude!

Late Videos from the Water Park at Disney

Finally all the video's and pictures are downloaded and organized. I can't take credit for that, but thanks to Brian I can finally put some more fun stuff on our blog! Thanks hun.

On our Disney Trip we also spent the day at Blizzard Beach, Bryce's first water park. I was amazed at how much he was allowed to do and he loved every minute of it too. I had my doubts and we did end up putting him in a life vest, but all went smooth.

He had so much fun, but prefered to go down on his belly.

He held onto the little handles and was good to go!

On the drive back from the airport....Disney makes me have the giggles.

Christmas in Hawaii!

Well December was a very busy month for us. We already had Disney planned and couldn't change the timing....when a "work" trip for Brian came up that included 2 wks in Hawaii and it was okay if Bryce and I went. So two days back from Disney and we are on the plane to Hawaii. Can't really complain about that :) Bryce did great on the trip there and day two after breakfast he decided to throw up for the first time. Great! Long story short and after being thrown up on 5-6 times, he finally had it out of his system. Brian and I didn't escape it though. Lucky for us we had it in the evening. Nothing like being sick, no washing machine close, or the right cleaning supplies...Thank goodness we had another week.
We had a wonderful time and celebrated a late Christmas back in MS on the 26th. But boy was the week back hard for Bryce with the time change. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and you are all enjoying the New Year
Man we travel with a lot of junk!

Always eating!

Bryce with Duke. He was very funny as he waved at all the Japanese tourist that were taking his picture.

Loved playing at the beach, but did not like the ocean this time around.

Disney

So November went by quickly and here we are in the middle of December and I still haven't done Christmas cards...so looks like they may be New Years cards instead. Our Thanksgiving was peaceful at home in MS. We were going to eat dinner around 5:00 everthing was going smooth...then Bryce decided to have a break down. He would only sleep in my arms, which is unusual for him. So I sat in the recliner by the fire and watched TV with daddy. It was nice but the dinner was a little done....it was ready at 5:00 but we ate around 7:00....so a little dry. The Monday after turkey day we left for a wonderful 10 days in Orlando. My Aunt, Uncle and their two grand kids came down to join us for a week at Disney. Bryce is still a little young, but we couldn't pass up the Military Deal and he really did enjoy himself.

Bryce is now 16 months old, still weighs around 25 plus pounds, those sharp little teeth finally came through and look razor sharp, is back to sleeping well...thank goodness, will sign eat, please, and more, not so interested in talking except for Momma and Dada, points like a champ and still has a good grunt. He likes to hide or walk away from you backwards when it is time to get ready in the morning. Loves his books and dancing too. He lights up our lives daily and we love him so!

Day 1 Magic Kingdom!

A bugs life..Bryce wouldn't keep any glasses on for long, but did enjoy breaking a few!

Dinosaur Ride with Boston and Jazzy.

Animal Kingdom

Epcot

Meeting the Characters was a hoot! Bryce would point and get so excited..not that he knows who any of them are...but they better not try to hold or touch him.

HMMM that nose looks good!

Teacups please....Any ride that went in a circle that Bryce would see he would just sign please, please, please....so needless to say he went on several.

Went to a local park and he loved the slides. He wanted to go again and again.

What Happened to October?

Well I have a lot of pictures to post and go through! I can't believe it is November...Bryce is all over the place and just a fun loving little man! Until these teeth....he already has 12 and isn't even 15 months yet...started to come in. It started with not really napping during the day, but always waking up crying and still sleeping 12 hrs at night...jump ahead to not sleeping during the day or night. Having several hours of NO sleeping from 1:30-4:30 am. REALLY could someone please remind him that he is not a new born! Last night was golden 12 hrs and 3.5 hrs of napping today...lets hope tonight goes well.
Our First family outing this month was to the Pumpkin Patch!

Thanks for my Pumpkin hat Aunt Suzie! It gave me super powers so I could lift this pumpkin!

Is anyone listening to me!

They even had a great area for tractor riding.

Look what happened in a year!

Air Force One

Well we went to Pittsburgh with Daddy so we could hopefully get an Air Force One tour....and we did. Brian is an advance agent for AF-1. He travels to sites the president will be visiting to help prepare for AF-1 arrival.
It was a great experience. Obama was speaking in Ohio so he came into Pitt on Marine 1 to the Airport. We watched all 5 choppers come in. Then the big jet came in empty, we toured it, watched the president depart on the jet, and we were super close to all the craziness that goes on. It was amazing.

Bryce will never know how lucky he was to crawl around the presidential office, bedroom, and down his hallway...all with a dirty diaper that happened soon after the tour started. GREAT :) He also would have really liked to push all those buttons in the cockpit....lots of struggling went on and he didn't get any....but did manage to make a phone ring somewhere in the back of the airplane.

So this picture is just of us...nothing exciting ...bc Bryce was crawling out of our arms or screaming in all the other ones. In his defense we showed up at 11:00-4:00 and this kid won't sleep unless he is in his bed. He didn't even fall asleep on the 40 min car ride home!

Here comes the President!

AF1 arrives

Family shot after our tour...can't you tell that Bryce loved every minute of it!

Obama arrives to depart....see Brian next to the stairs :)

Waving to us!
